About Jessica Feick

Jessica Feick is a multidisciplinary artist of Tejano descent working in Virginia. Her work explores the human experience through a distinctly physical lens. By focusing on the body, the physical effect of emotion, and the connection between body and soul, she translates internal states into visceral, visual forms. Her practice operates as an ongoing visual diary, with each work carrying an intimate fragment of her lived experience.
Material choice is central to her process; Feick selects each medium with intention, allowing it to deepen the concept of the work. Her practice includes woodworking, glassblowing, metal, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and painting.

Feick feeds her passion for connection and expression by working as a committee member for local artist collective 757 Create where she helps to organize shows and events for emerging artists. She also educates the community as a contracted educator for the Chrysler Museum of Art and a former public school teacher. She began her art career at Old Dominion University, where she received her BFA in Art Education in Museums & Cultural Institutes with a Minor in Art History and a Concentration in 3D Media.
